K2 Broadcast Review: Men’s All-Mountain Winner – Good Wood Snowboard Test 2018-2019

The Broadcast may be new to the K2 line, but this versatile deck’s directional, cambered profile recalls the tried and true, no bullshit designs of snowboards past. And considering our week of testing saw everything from slush to blower pow, groomers to sketchy tree jibs, there’s no denying that this timeless composition is as effective today as it ever was. “The thing ripped,” said one surprised tester. “Nothing too fancy about it, but it was a close-to-perfect all-around snowboard.” Materials have progressed, but the essence remains the same. As one tester explained, “It’s a bad boy’s board that makes you want to ollie ropes, spray skiers, and rail carves,” adding, “It’s not flashy, but underneath it’s a trophy truck.” That’s the way snowboards were meant to be.
