Professional illustrator and working artist for the past 14 years, Shanna’s wide range of commissioned projects spans the spectrum from the University of Utah / PAC12 clothing line to United Way’s non-profit promotions for dental health among children; from video gaming to city public work projects; and from music industry branding and album covers to snowboarding products & artwork for shredding enthusiasts.
Shanna’s career jumpstart came fresh out of art school when she painted a mural in a hip downtown Tacoma restaurant; a skeletal angel with a crown of twisted thorns and a heart on fire. The mural showcased the elixir of Shanna’s style, weaving gritty symbolism with a macabre sense of humor infused with a whimsical air. From there, her career manifested into what it is today. Her work has it’s own reputation, consistently transcending her cliental’s expectations, delivering more than what they ask for, but always exactly what they want.
Shanna is a expert in the Adobe Creative Suites and digital illustration as well as the mediums of oil, acrylic, watercolor, inks, charcoal and mixed media. She holds a BFA from Pacific Lutheran University, her work having been featured in various galleries, including exhibitions at both the 2013 / 2014 / 2015 World Ski & Snowboarding Festivals held in Whistler, B.C. & Evo in Seattle, WA. She is currently a resident artist at the Echo-Echo Gallery in Seattle, WA & the Northwest Snowboards Gallery in Tacoma, WA. She has also been published in Kronicle Magazine and a series of publications by Out-of-Step Books.
